From the earliest days of mankind, people have been trading things for
which they no longer have a use. Over the years, this practice
has evolved to where today, the recovery and remarketing of assets has
grown to become a significant global business. What has not kept pace is
the evolution and understanding of the secondary market in which these
business transactions take place. Each industry has evolved their own approach to buying and selling
surplus assets, while government agencies and other service
organizations have had to learn to deal with each industry separately.
Insert the reality of transactions between different countries and cultures into the
matrix, and it is no wonder misunderstanding and confusion prevails.
AMC Intl., LLC (Alexander Management & Consulting International) was
established to develop programs and assist companies, organizations, and government agencies
worldwide in better understanding and successfully participating in the
global asset recovery and remarketing industry.
The founder and principal of AMC Intl., LLC is Gary F. Alexander.
Mr. Alexander possesses over 30 years of experience in the aircraft,
food, construction, and semiconductor / electronics manufacturing
industries. He is the founder, past president, and currently
the executive director of SEC/N®, the used
equipment trade association for the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing industry.
Mr. Alexander
retired to start SEC/N after 24 years with Motorola, where his
responsibilities included management positions in international manufacturing and
asset recovery. During that time, he also represented
Motorola’s Semiconductor Products Sector on the SEMATECH Surplus
Equipment Council (SSEC).
